It’s that time of year again when inboxes overflow with Black Friday “can’t-miss deals,” limited-time offers, and countdown clocks everywhere you look.
And I’ll be honest with you, I love a good discount as much as anyone else.
But there’s another side to this season…the one that hits a little closer to home as a small business owner, creator, and financial educator.
Because while I believe in financially smart shopping, I also believe in value-driven living, one where I support work that is meaningful, personal, and crafted with care.
So today, I wanted to share with you — from my ❤️ — why I don’t offer Black Friday discounts on my services, whether in my financial education work, coaching, or creative/author offerings.
I. MY WORK IS DEEPLY PERSONAL AND BESPOKE:

I pour my heart, knowledge, and soul into everything I do and I know the transformation my work delivers.
When I partner with a client, organization, or school, I’m not delivering a one-size-fits-all program.
I’m crafting something entirely unique that is tailored to their goals, values, and circumstances.
Every Financial Life Edit session, every Signature Program I offer, every wellness workshop, and every coaching journey is built on decades of expertise, behavioral science, and lived insight.
And the same is true for my creative work.
Every book I write, every school I visit, every story I share with young readers is crafted with care, intention, and emotional truth. I spend countless hours researching and shaping stories, workshops, and programs that uplift and empower. It takes time, love, and dedication.
That’s why I can’t discount it.
Because I know the worth of what I bring, and I want you to feel that same worth in your own work too.
II. I BELIEVE IN HONORING MY VALUE AND YOURS:

I’ve spent over two decades building my knowledge and investing my MIT education, certifications, business coaching, creative writing, and continuous learning.
Each investment I’ve made has shaped who I am as a financial educator and wealth coach.
And the same is true for my creative life.
I’ve invested in craft workshops, writing programs, editorial mentorship, and conferences, not to mention the countless hours spent working on my manuscripts and preparing for impactful school visits.
So when I set my prices, they reflect that entire journey: the time, energy, and expertise that go into helping someone shift from financial stress to clarity and empowerment and developing storytelling experiences that resonate with young readers.
Remember friends: when we know our worth, we stop negotiating with it.
III. I DEEPLY RESPECT MY CLIENTS:

My client’s support helps me pour back into communities and initiatives that uplift others!
I appreciate SO much every single client, organization, and school who chooses to work with me!
And here’s something else I want to share with gratitude: Your support doesn’t just allow me to do this work — it allows me to give back in meaningful ways.
Because of Wear Your Money Crown®, I’m able to support organizations I love, sponsor community events like the MIT 75th Anniversary Gala, champion financial literacy for students, uplift authors, and show up for the communities that shaped me.
That’s only possible because of the clients and readers who invest in my work year-round.
IV. COMMITMENT CREATES TRANSFORMATION:

When you invest in yourself, your growth, you show up fully. You take action. You transform.
Here’s something I’ve seen time and time again (and one which my fellow fempreneur and friend, Jo Ingram, reminds me of frequently), both in my clients and in my own journey: when people pay, they pay attention.
Every major leap I’ve made , whether through my certification programs, business coaching, or personal growth, required me to make BIG investments.
And that financial commitment kept me accountable and motivated.
I see that same spark and outcomes in my clients.
…
So this season, while I may be adding a few discounted serums, office supplies, and cat rescue supplies to my online cart, my focus remains on something far more lasting:
Helping people build financial confidence, writing stories, and creating programs that uplift, heal, and empower.
With corazón,
Anna
